Last year, Apple finally found its foothold in the growing streaming service market. Yes, you guessed it right! Apple TV, the premium streaming service that’s competing with Netflix, Hulu, Disney+.

The shows it has premiered are all worth users’ time as they are creative and engaging. For instance, The Morning Show, For All Mankind, and Dickinson have been some of the shows it started with. Although it’s a slow start, it’s definitely showing some potential. So, if you are also thinking about subscribing to Apple TV Plus, here’s what you need to know.

The Basics

Apple TV+ is home to Apple’s original series and films. The best part is you can enjoy it using your favorite devices. The only thing you need is the latest version of the app. You can use it for a monthly subscription of $5/month.

Apple partnered with the most prominent Hollywood names such as Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, JJ Abram, and Big Bird to entice its users with a wide range of content. The early adopters got a chance to use the app and its services for free until Feb 1. “We’re giving you extra time to discover.” That’s what their emails said to their trial members.

You Can Make The Most Of It Using Apple One Bundle

In order to be different and usable simultaneously, Apple recently launched a bundle of services, such as Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and Fitness+. So, if you want to enjoy content through Apple TV Plus, you can sign up for Apple One plans.

Primarily, three plans are available, Individual, Family, and Premier. Each of these plans includes Apple TV plus and its streaming services. The only difference is the storage capacity and extra services offered.

You can use all these plans using any of the Apple devices. It’s best if you read more to avoid any hiccups during your streaming time. Also, make sure your devices are compatible with the latest version of the Apple TV app.

You will have to pay $14.95 per month for an Individual plan, which gives you services like Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 50 GB iCloud storage. On the other hand, the Family plan allows you to enjoy all the benefits with 200 GB iCloud storage at $19.95 per month. Lastly, the premier plan will enable you to enjoy all the services along with News+ magazine and Fitness plus services at $29.95 per month.

What’s New?

Despite the dispute about payments, Apple released a revised list of guidelines regarding game streaming. Streaming games are only permitted as long as the developers adhere to the guidelines. Of course, users are always allowed to use the Internet or web browser apps to reach different apps outside the App Store. For now, you can subscribe to Apple Arcade and play premium games. You can use iPhone, iPad, or Mac to enjoy the games right from your left off.

End Note

Apple TV Plus is only focused on new, original content for now. But it’s switching its gears to licensing some old content forms available. Although it’s just a stepping stone, one can expect a breakthrough in the coming months. Stay tuned!
